PPA Alumni Emma Cavell Takes Her Original One-Woman Show to Sydney Fringe Festival

We’re delighted to celebrate the latest achievement of PPA Acting for Stage and Screen alum Emma Cavell, who is bringing her own original one-woman show to audiences in Australia this September.

Emma, who graduated from PPA’s Acting for Stage and Screen course in 2019, has since moved to Australia, where she has continued to develop her creative practice. She is now preparing to take her debut solo show, You’re So Sensitive, to the Sydney Fringe Festival.

Written, directed, produced and performed entirely by Emma, You’re So Sensitive explores creativity, identity and the experience of being labelled “too sensitive”. The production combines monologue, poetry, improvised dance and visual projections, bringing together many of Emma’s creative interests.

The show has already attracted attention in Sydney, with Emma recently featured in the Wentworth Courier ahead of her performances. The article explores the journey behind You’re So Sensitive and Emma’s move from the UK to Australia, as well as the personal experiences that inspired her to create the piece.
