The football match between Performance Preparation Academy (PPA) and GSA brought plenty of action to Surrey Sports Park, as students from both drama schools took to the pitch for a competitive Sunday fixture.

Kicking off at 12pm, the match saw both teams battle it out in an entertaining game that finished 5–3 to GSA. While the result went in GSA’s favour, PPA showed plenty of determination throughout, scoring three times!

Representing PPA on the scoresheet were Harrison Butler (MT2), Kyle Briggs (A1) and Issac Ollite (Acting Foundation), each contributing to the team’s efforts on the day.

For students at PPA, opportunities like these offer a chance to step away from the rehearsal room and classroom, bringing the same energy, commitment and team spirit to the football pitch. With students from different courses coming together, the match was a great example of the community that sits at the heart of life at PPA.

Although we narrowly missed out on the win, the team can be proud of their efforts. Matches like this are about more than the final score; they’re an opportunity to build friendships, support one another and enjoy a bit of friendly competition outside of training.

Congratulations to GSA on the win, and well done to everyone who represented PPA. We look forward to the next meeting on the pitch!
